The sunset was our biggest and best mistake. One glorious disaster, Blooming into the light it had not, was not, able to create. The holy mirror hanging in the dreary day. Oh saintly reflection of the thousands of faces multiplying into the myriad of stars That would politely bow with a tip of their hats as they introduced themselves, "We are your replacements. We are the muse of the whole world. We are the limit. You reach out, strain, groan, beg, bite, reel, wax, wane, copulate, groan again, battle, Rattle, hum, and will never touch us. We are not there. You have been gnashing your teeth, reaching for yourselves. You see me and my brethren and see infinity. Two eyes surrounded by frames moving endlessly in a tell tale figure eight, The smoke ceasing to settle. It will straighten, and the bars will clear up and clear out. Stumbling skeptics, lunatics, and priests alike. We all falter, cheekbones greeting the gravel as they are ground Down, down, down. You need answers. Your vision is finite yet searching for magic. Your vision is cemented in scope but longs for silver bells complimenting hipster haired Angels, Shouting oracles of fate, love, and faith to the heavens that are bursting out of Our feet, Fingers, hair, and facial cracks. Stretching the physical until it tears, or rather unravels, like balls of blue and yellow yarn Tumbling in slow motion down the stairs as We stare from out the back of your heads. Your skulls are fixed. Downward facing creatures forced to look upwards at the miracles of the sky that We had Created by accident." What brilliance.

The Canyon 03:42
The Canyon is too deep It swallows up my sleep So I try to dream And in the good ones I still sing I’ve learned not to speak My language is too weak The Syllables retreat Just sound sounds more concrete In the falls down to my lows The halls will hear my ohs As far as they can go No words can still mean no I had patience like a priest Now it eludes me My scale tips quick enough As my age soon adds on up I never had a guide Now wrinkles add on pride I never knew I had inside My ego is Twenty five Someday I will find someone Til then I will sharpen my tongue Because those word wounds hurt the most Can’t you see that is why I’m your ghost? I had to dream To give it up for love But would it mean a thing If I couldn’t keep up? I would settle for a broken home If I could get some sleep I would settle for some legs Just so I could take a leap You could call me thief I am stealing your legs from your feet And I’ve seen the kids dance a waltz I know this is my fault The pangs of vast goodbye But you can breathe if you try When the macabre come in force Get ready for the great divorce Careful how you pretend Your honor you'll defend The battle yield no recompense No pity in the penitence

I need ovation For consideration of success I've been clapping my hands for years And now they are calloused but still red at best Always looking on Evergreen inside my iris Knowing no one would ever want to take the time to buy this This whining of a prissy middle class kid Drinking wine in order to sleep I need to close my eyelids Turn it out until you see what inside is You know, the only thing being blown is my pride miss Because I've got these aspirations And we've all got apparitions Appearing to appear Even when the focus is in the rearview It is nothing new So get a clue, just like everyone I'm building ladders to the sun And scaling each rung Praying to never slip and be hung In just a moment, you know we only have one You'll be on Everest Then down in the depths with the dung I'm tired of feeling ghostly But mostly tired mother fucker Maybe it is anti-poetic to swear in a song No, fuck that, that's bull shit not a single syllable is wrong As long as it is from your chest Leave behind the rest for motivation Gather inertia in the locomotion A simple potent potion to pull us toward the notion That we have the means and rations To own the ocean with our passions So I am going to raise up and try that much harder Keep that motivation, maybe the drugs made me more smarter? Because I've been lethargic Allegoric to the bullshit That I force myself everyday to smell, cope, and live with With many problems and solutions And every opportunity to flush it But I didn't I was acting like a sloth With the couch as my trees With moving hacks to entertain Like the antithesis of me Sweaty and alone Completely cumbersome Did you say free drinks? Maybe I'd come for some Late night, late chicks Maybe I'd come on one Just give me time to think And I'll always hit and run Even if I was the victim Even if I was not at fault I'd take on the blame And lock my feelings in a vault But no longer I am coming up stronger Taking the pitches And straining the octaves I'll cry Holy music To where my angel lives Pick up the volume I know where we left it Let's lift it We aren't too old yet Our voices are young horses Leaving the stables in forces So lets scream until we are voiceless Breaking the strings in my throat I leave myself choice less Until I get out that last note. That last note we wrote It may not be catchy or sexy enough to quote But I'll let it out with a croak Until all sound is penniless and broke.

Sleep Happy 03:09
Tonight we’ll sleep alone And tonight I hope we sleep happy Our time was on loan But I pray we sleep happy tonight I know you are on your way and the future is walking on air While you could be making dreams too big to dare I can’t say sometimes anymore Because life often isn’t fair But that is no reason to lose the smile from your face You can find devotion anyplace So I’ll stay here with a bouquet of memories And ask they won’t be erased No long romances No short stemmed roses No more big talks of love Just a few short hours A few big laughs I know our words were enough Tonight we’ll sleep alone But I hope you are sleeping alright Our time was on loan But I pray we sleep happy tonight. “Sleep happy,” was the last thing you said to me And I intend to find comfort in these sheets I may not make it to summer, I’m looking to fall But I’m bundled up tight now in this cold winter’s free for all “Sleep happy,” was the last thing you said to me And I intend to follow through thoroughly I may not wake to the sun glowing in your eyes But after tonight tomorrow will be a prize.

How many times have I had to say That a song is a naked person still being undressed? It has been six years and still I must remind myself Still I must say nothing new to a different tune My remains have been exhumed So welcome to the catacombs Where the spirit of holy madness lies Neatly on it's back Biding it's time Til it comes a rap, tap tapping Leaving it's wrapping on the floor Rolls away the stone door Sings out loud and truly soars.

I found a lover in Paris With Greenish eyes and brown hair By the Seine she was reading In the crisp morning air With her little freckles on her little nose And that nose in Voltaire I didn't speak a word Just whispered a prayer Her name was beautiful She was named for a queen I knew I just had to ask her Hoped she'd know what I mean Won't you: "Come walk down the wooded path I will keep you safe. I don't know who I am yet But my heart I must obey Kick up some cobblestones When there is nothing left to say I don't know who I am yet But my heart I must obey And we can dance on Billy Shake's grave And we can dance on Billy Shake's grave" I had the last lover in Paris And like Casanova fled the scene Our hearts were young and wild And everything in between I had the last lover in Pair-e But did you wait for me? I am not a jealous man How can you be? When I had the last lover in Paris Dressed up on a balcony Our song intertwined Into sweet harmony And we sang: I cried outside of Paris By the old cedar trees Our love song was redefined Into a Eulogy Now I'm back from Paris Can you forgive me? I was strange in a strange land And so lonely My thoughts were on you If only in my mind's back I'll forget those times, forget those eyes If you let me unpack I still think of Paris Even when I lie with you That love was made to die young Innocent and true

There is a love up north Lush and green so sally forth I've been waiting all my life While you would rather twist the knife Waiting is done, I have to go While you would rather slit my throat Just to see what love comes out As if there was really any doubt Seattle be patient with me Seattle please wait for me I don't know how long it'll be Seattle, we will see You are well read but looking ill Your porcelain skin standing still You know things and I know mine But I would rather save the time Who do you have looking for you? You are sad, one and one makes two My Father disappears Oh lucky girl, that is clear I am a big man for this town But down south surely I would drown I can't dress up for you now Button up shirts would muffle the sound How can you ask me to stay And then so quickly push me away? You would have me up on your wall Oh tenderness I do recall Waiting is done, I have to go Bid farewell to the old chateau I would travel all my years And I know we are scared right here Still you are my biggest fear

Rome 02:52
What is time but a way to see if you've really changed? If you can't it is a space to measure where you are I would fill my time with you The minutes can shorten the distance But I would grow And so would you The second hand can't stop me now. I've thrown away all my maps None of them have shown a home All the roads lead to you My personal burning Rome. X they say marks the spot But we don't know what we've got Paradise though never found Can never be lost.

I saw them there As they slowly burned down Clinging together until they were one The ground was littered With love from one another Until it was swept aside A brand new trap Waiting for the youth To come inside It was beautiful And sad As all things are With feathers singed And flapping mad This world has never changed So don't follow it down That rabbit hole That drives us all To Forget Insane Around Across country Down, right, down On hoods of cars Touching the chill To feel what it feels Were they clutching something Other than themselves? Stamping out the devil From the souls of their shoes? Down, down, down With nothing to lose Except what you leave on the ground The solitary mark The proof That never fades Like the flames The fire The breathe The The The The Please Not the clamor and the clatter The glamour and my stammer Stud Err Error Stutter Stuttering on As if it matters I only have a telescope So don't attempt To look at me It must be sorted out Alphabetically Ironically Before you are picked out Of the trash bags You wear as rags Dance Dance Dance In those rags To the ragtime blues That we move to until they are piping hot Burning red with those dark hues Bringing levity to the clubs And the boys sprinkled with laughter And love or what they want For what they need Something deeper Than simply a deed It is all noise. Static terms on paper Not moving Wrinkling words Into lips curled around bottles Babbling brooks of holy profanity Eating up the childhood And verbal space in It's mind Hitting the grind And the frightened beings looking to find Something different than what is What was promised The glorious list Of faults and improvement Down infinity road Until there is no more room On the narrows Widening views of perception Until prescription Is in view Always in view But too drugged to see Fuzzy feelings Of mediocrity And Déjà Vu That the night always loves to repeat With the Sun scolding It's delinquent owl Never losing sight of you Always in view And it never stops Love it never stops It Never Stops Love Live Over Die Love Stop.
